Sean is a licensed professional engineer, inventor, and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience developing breakthrough technologies—from wave energy systems to orthopedic devices and consumer products. He’s the founder of Midea Development, a private incubator for innovative ideas and has led engineering teams across industries including automation, renewable energy, and product design. As co-founder of Adventure Guitars, Sean combined his technical expertise with his lifelong love of music to help create the Cerberus™—the lightest, most portable high-performance electric guitar ever made. Sean’s philosophy is simple: Find your mission, surround yourself with great people, and do great work. The rest is easy.
Steven Gazeley FE, BS

Steve is a senior mechanical engineer with over 30 years of experience in product development, manufacturing, and process design. He’s led engineering efforts at companies like HP, Xerox and Microsoft helping bring innovative products to market—from VR headsets to handheld gaming devices and large-format touchscreens. At Adventure Guitars, Steven brought his engineering precision and love of prototyping to the Cerberus™, rethinking how electric guitars could be built for mobility without compromising performance. His focus on elegant, efficient design helped turn a bold idea into a rugged, road-ready instrument. Steve’s approach: Build with purpose, iterate fast, and never stop learning.
What Inspired Us
For five years, we wrestled with a problem every traveling musician knows: full-size guitars are fantastic… until you're stuck lugging one through airports, trails, or stuffing them in crammed back seats, watching in horror as they got scratched and beat up. We were tired of choosing between portability and sound quality — so we built our own answer!
